Nils Finkeisen

Nils Finkeisen, Saturday 11am

Vintage Guitars in Modern Rock and Metal Styles

Nomen est omen after all. The fact that someone with the word “iron” in their name plays in a band called “The Krupps” is a strange coincidence – but somehow fitting. Incidentally, the band, which calls its sound “metal machine music”, has been around longer than its guitarist, namely since 1980.
Nils Finkeisen was born in 1982 and has been the youngest band member on board and has been on tour with the legendary industrial metal combo since 2015. It was always allowed to be loud for the young savage with a penchant for casual, punky Rumpelstiltskin hairstyles.

At the Denmark Guitar Show Nils is explaining why he has become an addict for vintage guitars, how he manages to use old Telecasters and Les Pauls and make them fit into modern rock and metal styles.

Ariel Posen, Sunday 11am

Ariel will hold a guitar clinic covering all aspects about his guitar playing, songwriting, his techniques and more.

It is a Q&A format so it gives the audience an opportunity to be a part of it with him.

Bjarke Slot - Clinic - the pedal show

Bjarke Slot, Saturday 1pm

Magnatone ved ToneDoctor med Mads Reinhold og Ole Kibsgaard

Magnetone by ToneDoctor, Sunday 2pm

Magnatone Clinic at ToneDoctor with Ole Kibsgaard and Mads Reinhold

Neither Ole Kibsgaard nor Mads Reinhold need any further introduction if you have followed Danish music and Danish guitarists even a little bit.

For many years, Ole and Mads have both been among Denmark’s absolute best and most in-demand session and live guitarists.
At this year’s Magnatone clinic, they talk about their love for Magnatone amplifiers, why they chose the models they did, and how and for what they use them.

At the end of the clinic, there will be a Q&A segment where the audience will have the opportunity to ask Ole and Mads questions.

Kajsa Vala, Saturday 3pm

Søren Koch
Concert Lecture: Barbed Wire & Flower Guns!

Søren Koch, Sunday 2pm - 3:30pm - at Storms Pakhus

Join Søren Koch for an entertaining lecture about Danish rock in the 60s! The lecture is called Barbed Wire & Flower Guns and can be experienced right in the middle of the stage in Hall 1!

🎸 ABOUT THE LECTURE 🎸
・Take a time travel back to the wild musical landscape of the 1960s when musician and music expert Søren Koch gives a concert lecture on the development of Danish rock music in the 60s. We’ll hear about Beatlemania, the Swinging 60s and Flower Power as he talks about the decade’s changing music genres and trends in youth culture. Along the way, there will be samples of key songs from the Danish music scene of the 60s.

・Søren is particularly interested in how the Danish youth and Danish musicians of the 60s absorbed foreign sources of inspiration and musical currents.

・What, for example, led to the sound of The Beatles and Merseybeat finding its Danish counterpart in the form of the barbed wire wave of the time? Within a few years, almost every small town in Denmark had its local heroes in the form of a barbed wire band that played for dancing in the village hall or youth club.

・A musician and lecturer, Søren combines the best of both worlds in the form of a music lecture, where entire songs are played to illustrate the different angles that are touched upon along the way.

・In addition to narrating and playing a few songs, Søren also illustrates with a few pictures, sound clips and short movie clips along the way. We’ll hear about The Cliffters, suits, echo machines, The Hitmakers, longer hair, Hit House in Frederiksberg, mod & beat, ‘Ved Landsbyens Gadekær’ and progressive, psychedelic rock – and everything in between!

🎸 SØREN KOCH 🎸

・Multi-instrumentalist Søren Koch has been far and wide in his career, playing with Tim Christensen, Michael Falch, Poul Krebs, Marie Frank and his own bands Beat The Meatles, one of the country’s best Beatles Tribute bands, and as singer, guitarist and songwriter in the 60s inspired The Beatophonics.

・Since 2018, he has also toured and released records internationally as bassist in the legendary British beat group The Zombies, who had hits in the 60s including ‘She’s Not There’ and ‘Time of the Season’.

・As an expert in the Danish barbed wire and beat scene of the 60s, Søren has often shared his knowledge in lectures and podcasts.

– See you at a great lecture in Storms Pakhus!
