Welcome to the Guitar Show Awards! Below you can read all about the categories for this year’s Guitar Show Awards and nominate the candidates you think deserve to win. The winner will be announced at this year’s Guitar Show Denmark in Odense on September 13-14, 2025.

Danish Guitar Player of the Year
This award celebrates the Danish guitarist who has either impressed with technical skill, creativity or had a major musical impact during the year. Whether it’s through solo projects, bands or studio work, we put the spotlight on the Danish talents who drive the development forward.
International Guitar Player of the Year
The guitar is a global instrument and this award goes to a foreign guitarist who has made their mark on the world stage during the year. This can be through their innovative playing, iconic performances or contributions to the music world that inspire audiences and musicians around the world.
Danish Bas Player of the Year
This category celebrates the Danish bassist who has either made a difference with their solid technique, stable bottom end and creativity or their contribution to music. Whether it’s in the studio, live on stage or through his unique sound, we recognize the Danish bassist who has caught our attention this year.
International Bass Player of the Year
The bass is the pulse of music and this award is given to an international bassist who has delivered exceptional performances throughout the year. With a mix of technique, groove and charisma, we honor those who have made a difference on the global music scene.
Industry Award of the Year
The music industry is filled with unsung heroes who make a difference behind the scenes. The Industry of the Year Award is given to a person, initiative, company, organization, or someone else who has made a significant contribution to the development and/or decency of the music industry. It can be a producer, concert organizer, music business or other industry initiative that has created value for the music industry and performing musicians.
Pick of the Year
Pick of the Year is Guitar Show’s tribute to the stars of tomorrow. This talent award is given to a guitarist or bassist who has shown outstanding potential and creativity throughout the year. With a focus on innovation and passion for music, we recognize the up-and-coming talent ready to make their mark on the music scene. This is where we celebrate the next generation of musical pioneers!

Nominate the candidate or candidates you think deserve recognition for their efforts in 2024. The three candidates who receive the most nominations will be nominated in the category they are nominated in. You can be nominated in multiple categories. The nominees will be announced on August 15, 2025.
